The Player of the Week honor goes to Lineker Santos for his outstanding performance lifting Marshall to the College Cup.

The senior forward gave the Thundering herd a perfect start with a goal 24 minutes into the match at SMU. And although the Mustangs scored twice in a valiant comeback effort, Santos provided two assists, assuring Marshall left 3-2 winners.

Men’s Team of the Week: December 2-8
GK: Niklas Herceg, Vermont - With nine saves and a shutout, Herceg dominated to send Vermont to their first College Cup.
D: Ronan Wynne, Denver - A back post-headed goal capped off an impressive performance where Wynne dominated on and off the ball to defeat Massachusetts.
D: Jason Belloli, Denver - Belloli opened the scoring with a courageous leap at the back post, then played 90 minutes as Denver shut out the Minutemen.
D: Max Murray, Vermont - The graduate senior hardly put a foot wrong as the Catamounts upset Pittsburgh to advance to the College Cup.
M: Sam Bassett, Denver - In a typically measured performance, Bassett provided an assist and created multiple chances to lead the Pioneers past Massachusetts.
M: Marco Silva, Marshall - Silva scored the second goal as Marshall outlasted SMU to reach the College Cup.
M: Luciano Pechota, Ohio State - Pechota was on fire with two assists in the 3-0 defeat of Wake Forest.
M: Michael Adedokun, Ohio State - The senior midfielder was entertaining and effective as he scored a brace versus Wake Forest.
F: Lineker Santos, Marshall - Santos was unstoppable with a goal and two assists to defeat SMU 3-2.
F: Milton Lopez, SMU - The Mustangs almost pulled off the comeback versus Marshall thanks to Lopez scoring twice as a second-half substitute.
F: Yaniv Bazini, Vermont - A last-minute goal scored from pressuring the goalkeeper capped off a tireless performance where Bazini put the Pittsburgh defense under constant pressure.
